Sweepie & Friends

This set is really called "Lily and Friends" but Lily reminds me so much of my little niece Sweepie. Sweepie loves to wear pink and even got a pink dressy coat and matching pink hat and mitten set for Christmas. I colored the image with colored pencils and Goo-Gone (my favorite method of coloring), and added some sparkle with pink glitter EP and different colors of stickles. Again I shaded the background with chalks and a cotton ball.

Fall Folliage

I am a season behind on this one, but I only got a chance to play with this set yesterday. The background is made with ink and cotton balls and the leaves are heat embossed with clear EP.

Echoes of Thanks

It's nice to have a little break to play. This is for SCS Color Challenge 198. The task was to use Orchid Opulence, Cameo Coral, and So Saffron all on the same card. I used my new SU preview set Echoes of Kindness for this. I colored the image with colored pencils and Goo-Gone then went over the edges with chalk on a cotton ball.

Christmas Snow

The background of the main image was made using Tim Holtz's alcohol inks, metallic ink, and mixative on glossy paper. I dripped all the inks and mixative on a craft sheet and then smooshed and swirled glossy paper on top of it. The scarf is from a cuttlebug Disney die and folder

Silver Bells

The semester is over for me and so it is time for some fun. I decided to try the 3D stamping technique and it worked really well with this stamp. I went over the bells with a versamarker and then used glittered EP. The snowflake is from a small Dollar Tree ornament. I find a lot neat little things to use as embellishments at Dollar Tree.

Peaceful Night

I did so well on my my exam Thursday that I thought I would take the night off from studying and play! I decided to make another Christmas card but I stole the sketch from Julee Tillman. This was fun but it took a while. The angels are punched from silver cardstock then covered with platinum Stickles. I also used Stickles on the Cuttlebug background to make it look like stars. I have another Christmas card that I started but I need to spend most of the weekend studying so I don't know if I can post it before next weekend.
