Test using Blogaway app

April Kitty kindly let me use this old photo of her to test out this new blogging app I downloaded to my Droid. We'll see how it works.

Sympathy for Neighbor

One of my neighbors passed away last week and I made this card for his widow. I chose the colors from SCS Color Challenge 230 and the sketch from SCS Sketch Challenge 277. Since it is such a beautiful day outside, I took the photo from my back deck with the camera on my Moto Droid.

Recipe:

Tea Time

Wow, I made and posted 2 cards in one day! I must be getting my mojo back. Speaking of mojo, this is the second card I made using this weeks Mojo Monday sketch. This one is using the round sketch option. The colors are from this weeks SCS Color Challenge 264 using Bermuda Bay, So Saffron and Basic Gray.

Sweepie's 3rd Birthday

Sweepie is turning 3 tomorrow! She is such a delightful (and mischievous) little girl. Sweepie is into fairies now and likes Tinkerbell and Abbie Cadabbie from Sesame Street so I made a little fairy for her card. The sketch is from this week's Mojo Monday sketch and the colors are from SCS Color Challenge 104.

Did you miss me?

Hi Everyone!

I haven't posted in like 6 months and you all are probably wondering what happened to me. Well first off, I did pass the NCLEX! Thank you everyone for all of your prayers and well wishes. I started work as a critical care nurse in an ICU in August so that has kept me very busy as I continue to study critical care nursing when I get home at night and on my days off. Everyone says that the first year of becoming a nurse is the hardest. My job is definitely difficult but I love it!

This is the first card that I have made since my last one about 6 months ago. It felt good to get back in to the craft room and play.

Recipe:

Stamps: Fox and Friends, Season of Friendship, Soft Summer - SU
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla, Melon Mambo, DP
Ink: Dusty Durango, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder, Die, Brads
