Reverse Distress Stencil Technique
I tried Jennifer McGuire's Distress Stencil technique to make a card for the Spring/Summer 2020 Coffee Lover's Blog Hop and I ended up loving the impression left on the baby. I couldn't let this go to waste so I turned it into a little note card. The actual technique piece came our great too and I hope to get it posted before the blog hop is over.
Recipe:
Stamps: Coffee - Verve
Paper: Vanilla, Early Espresso, Baby Wipe
Ink: Distress Walnut Stain, Versamark

Happy Caffeinated 4th
Happy 4th of July 2019 everyone! I originally made this card several months ago for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop but I got busy and forgot to post it. I decided to save this post for the actual Independence Day.
I made the background by taping off diagonal lines as I buffed Oxide inks on. I then used white pigment ink over a star-patterned stencil and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. For the central image I used small eye shadow applicators to apply Oxides over a coffee image stencil and added some gold star sequin accents.
Recipe:
Stamps: Coffee Helps - Verve
Paper: SU cardstock, Mixed Media Paper
Ink: TH Distress Oxides in Candied Apple, Salty Ocean, Ground Espresso, Frayed Burlap, and Hickory Smoke. Sweet Tooth - MFT, Baked Brown Sugar - SU, Versamark
Accessories: Stencils, Sequins, Clear EP, Low tack Painter's Tape, Star-shaped die, Embossing Folder, Corner Rounder punch

Hope You Perk Up
Last weekend I went to a Stamp & Scrap Expo in my area with my best crafting buddy. It was the first time I had gone to one of these and I had a great time! I came back with a lot of new toys including the Technique Junkie stamp featured on this card.
This stamp is a new addition to my coffee-themed stamp collection, which is still growing. I first stamped the cute little owl with Versafine and stamped it again with Versamark in my MISTI, then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I colored her with Altenew Watercolors that I also got at the Expo. I struggle with water coloring but these Altenew colors blended so easily. Next, I die-cut the image with Nestabilities and mounted it on DP. I accented with Nuvo Crystal dots and roughly traced around the DP with Early Espresso marker. The sketch is from the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog.
Recipe:
Stamps: Perk Up Soon - Technique Junkies
Paper: Strathmore Watercolor paper, Delightful Dijon, Early Espresso, DP
Ink: Versafine Black, Versamark
Accessories: Clear EP, Nestabilities, Early Espresso Marker, Waterbrush, Altenew Watercolors, Nuvo Crystal Drops

This Girl Just Wants Coffee
Here is a third card I made for this year's Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop. Sometimes I just am in the mood to color images without having a card design in mind. I keep these pieces in a box and I pull them out when I have an idea for a card or other project that a piece go with. This MFT Pure Innocence image was colored with Prisma Pencils and paper pieced a few years ago. For this card I cut out the image with my Brother Scan N Cut and then I cut off the flower in her hand to attach the mug. The mug was colored with Chameleon Pens.
Recipe:
Stamps: Pure Innocence Water Lily - MFT, One Cup, Coffee Helps - Verve
Paper: WW, So Saffron, DP
Ink: Black Licorice - MFT, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Prisma Colored Pencils, Gamsol, Chameleon Pens, Ribbon, Prima Flowers, Brother Scan N Cut, Sequins, Nuvo Crystal Drops

Perk Up Your Day
This is the second card I made for the Summer 2017 Coffee Lovers Bloghop. I created the background using a stamp from the My Favorite Things Perk Up stamp set. Because Independence is coming up next Monday I chose to do a red, white, and blue theme. I used shades of red and blue from Gina K. Designs ink cubes to stamp the coffee cups. My MISTI helped with lining up the stamped images.
Recipe:
Stamps: Perk Up - MFT
Paper: WW, Real Red, Basic Blue
Ink: Cherry Red, Blue Denim - Gina K. Designs, Versamark
Accessories: MISTI, Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Nuvo Crystal Drops

Tea...Enjoy Every Sip
The Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop has begun! Here is the first card that I made for this season's bloghop.
Since it is summer I decided to stamp a tea cup with the summery flavors of lemon, lime and strawberry (ink). I used my Brother Scan N Cut to fussy cut the lemon and lime wedges, and to make the banner around the sentiment. Rather dig out my dies, I also used the SNC to cut a perfect circle around the teacup and the green circle layer.
Recipe:
Stamps: A Nice Cuppa - SU, Get Together - Verve, Pick Me Up - Sweet 'n Sassy
Paper: WW, Cucumber Crush, DP
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, Cucumber Crush, MFT Black Licorice
Accessories: MISTI, Brother Scan N Cut, Nuvo Glitter Drops

This quick card was made for a friend who just graduated with his Masters in Education. He is also a coffee addict like myself so I took the opportunity to use one of my favorite coffee stamps. The sleeve of the coffee cup was paper-pieced using old SU DP. I used a scrap of coordinating DP on the left edge of the card and some sparkle with gold sequins.
Recipe:
Stamps: Perfect Blend, Espressoly for You - SU

This Last One is a bit of a Cheat...Spring2017CLH
So this last one is a cheat because it is not my project. My sister Lyssa made this for my birthday 2 months ago. This is the same sister that also gave me my Brother Scan N Cut II. Since Lyssa does not have a blog, nor photograph her creations, I thought I would do it for her this time. This project fits in perfectly with the Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Bloghop. Like me, she cannot survive without her daily coffee either. She made this altered clipboard with a coffee design. You can see the image better in the picture below.
I do not know the maker of the image but I love it. It is two friends (or sisters) enjoying their coffee outside on a lovely Spring morning with a bright and sunny coffee cup shining on them. Another thing that I love is butterflies. Lyssa used butterfly washi tape on the edges. The flower and the leaves are thick chip board cut with Tim Holtz dies.

At the End of My Rainbow - Spring2017CLH
... there is a pot of coffee! This fun card was created for the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop. I used MFT Die-namics to make the rainbow and cloud. The pot of coffee was made using an SU punch. The sun is from a Verve die. I used coffee colored Tear Drops to create coffee drops coming down the rainbow. The word "coffee" in the cloud was stamped with Smokey Slate and Illuminate inks then clear embossed. The grass at the bottom was from a cutting file included in the Brother Scan N Cut II and alcohol markers. I coated the coffee beans in the pot with a little Wink of Stella for some shimmer.

Thanks for the Pick Me Up - Spring2017CLH
I am having a lot of fun using my coffee stamps for this year's Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop. This coffee inspired creation uses the current Freshly Made Sketches #280.

To keep with the Spring theme of the bloghop, I stamped the mug in a bright pink and used a strip of designer paper with pink and orange dots. The sentiment was done in the same pink as the mug but heat embossed with clear powder to give it a little pop. I used Wink of Stella on the coffee in the mug. The mug was cut out with my Brother Scan N Cut II machine. This card is just one single layer for a clean and simple design.

Happy Spring - Spring2017CLH
Ah Spring, that time of year when the weather gets warm, the sun shines brighter, trees bud, and the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop is here! The Coffee Lovers Bloghop come around each season for crafters to show off our caffeine inspired creations. Anyone can play, the only requirement is that your creation must have a coffee, tea, or cocoa theme and reflect the corresponding season. The Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop runs from Friday, March 24th through Friday, March 31st.
For my first card for the bloghop I did the emboss-resist technique on the background. I used spring tones to get a get bright bursts of colors around white embossed flowers. I colored the coffee mug in pink and added a light aqua ribbon and matching sequins.

Paper: WW, Cucumber Crush

A Cup of Winter Cheer
Brrrr! In my part of the world winter is upon us. Cold temperatures, getting dark before 5 pm, frost on my windshield all make me want to stay inside and hibernate until spring. The things I like about winter are cooking meals in my crock pot, wearing fuzzy warm socks, and avoiding the cold by staying inside to play in my craft room. On this cold and frosty day I made this card for the 2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop
The quarterly Coffee Lovers Bloghop represent two of my favorite things: coffee and card making! For this card I used the Coffee Helps stamp set from Verve. I used one of the sentiments stamped in white pigment ink to make the background on Crumbcake paper. The sentiment on the front was embossed with gold embossing powder then outlined with a sparkly gold gel pen. Wink of Stella was used on both the cup and mug for shimmer, and I used Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the whipped cream.
Recipe:
Stamps: Coffee Helps - Verve
Paper: WW, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Ink: WW Craft, Baked Brown Sugar, Versamark
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Gold Gel Pen, Heat Tool, Ribbon, Gem, Chameleon and Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, Wink of Stella, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Verve Dies, Framelits
