Don't Worry, Pray

For this card I was playing around with new to me dies and stencils.  I created a frame with the leftover piece from my previous card using Gina K Design's Rose Swirl stencil.  I stamped Philippians 4;6 in the center of a Divinity Designs die-cut, then added fussy-cut roses and leaves.  Nuvo Drops were added to the rose centers, and Wink of Stella was lightly brushed on the roses and leaves.

Stamps:  Phillipians 4:6 from Scripture Collection 4 -Divinity Designs (formerly Our Daily Bread Designs), Old Country Roses - GKD
Paper: Ivory, White, Pretty in Pink, Baja Breeze
Ink: Versafine Onyx, Dusty Rose, Applemint, Grass Green, Bubble Gum, Lucky Clover, Sea Glass - GKD

My New Favorite Stencil

On my last order from Gina K Designs I got Rose Swirl stencil and I am in love with it!  I had fun playing with different shades of pinks, greens, and blues to make several backgrounds.  For this card I used a stitched rectangle die to cut the background.  I layered it on another die cut panel.  The sentiment is from Sending My Love by Divinity Designs. I'll be using the stencil a lot with different color combinations.

Stamps:  Sending My Love - Divinity Designs
Paper:  Ivory, Black, Pretty In Pink
Ink:  Bubble Gum, Lucky Clover, Sea Glass, Versamark
Accessories:  Rose Swirl stencil, Sending word die and Circle Scalloped Rectangle die from Divinity Designs, Stitched Rectangle die - MFT, White Embossing Powder, sequins

Cats and Coffee Rule the World

I got this stamp a couple of years ago and had the opportunity to use it for the Spring/Summer 2020 Coffee Lovers Bloghop.  I stamped with a very light ink then went over the image with Prisma Pencils.  The coffee mug is from another set that I paper-pieced in.

Paper Vanilla, Blue, DP

Reverse Distress Stencil Technique

I tried Jennifer McGuire's Distress Stencil technique to make a card for the Spring/Summer 2020 Coffee Lover's Blog Hop and I ended up loving the impression left on the baby.  I couldn't let this go to waste so I turned it into a little note card.  The actual technique piece came our great too and I hope to get it posted before the blog hop is over.

Recipe:
Stamps:  Coffee - Verve
Paper:  Vanilla, Early Espresso, Baby Wipe
Ink:  Distress Walnut Stain, Versamark
Accessories:  Baby Wipe, Coffee Stencil by Moon and the Maker - Kae Pea, White Embossing Powder, Big Shot

Faith - SNS Winter Stamp-a-thon

Sweet n Sassy is having a Winter Stamp-a-thon today. Each card made and uploaded to the VIP group is entered in a drawing to win a $50 gift code for Sweet n Sassy products.  This card was created for the monochromatic challenge.

To make this card I randomly placed stamps from Sweet n Sassy's Faith set in my MISTI and stamped with Versamark on a piece of mixed media paper. I then heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Next, I scribbled a Violet Arteza Real Brush Pen on my craft mat and painted over the paper with a wide water brush. I let it dry then sprayed a coordinating tone of Glimmer Mist over the paper to add shimmer.  The focal image was first stamped in Gina K. Designs' Wild Lilac. I cleaned the stamp then inked it up with Versamark and stamped again so I could heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I cut the image and layer with my Brother Scan n Cut and then finished it off with a few coordinating sequins.

Recipe:
Stamps: Faith - Sweet n Sassy
Paper: Canson Mixed Media, White, Black, Lilac
Ink:  Versamark, Wild Lilac - GKD
Accessories:  Sequins, Embossing Powders, Arteza Real Brush Pens, Brother SNC, Heat Tool, MISTI

Hello Friend

When I'm low on creative mojo I make lots of backgrounds. I have a shoebox filled with backgrounds just waiting to be made into cards.  I created this background sometime last year and thought it would go with this Wendi Vecchi flower I colored. The background was made with Distress Oxides on mixed media paper then splashed with water drops.  I colored the flower with Spectrum Noir and Chameleon alcohol markers.  I used a white pigment pen to add some dots and pierced the border of one of the layers.

Recipe:
Stamps: A Million Thanks - Wendi Vecchi, Saying Stuff - Tim Holtz
Paper: White, Canson Mixed Media, Black, So Saffron
Ink: Distress Oxides, Gina K Design Amalgam, Versamark
Accessories:  White Embossing Powder, Nuvo Jewel Drops, White Pigment Pen, Paper Piercing, Brother SNC, Spectrum Noir & Chameleon Alcohol markers.

Blended Butterflies

I'm going through the cards I made over the past couple of years but haven't posted.  Last year I wrote that I hoped to post at least one card a week.  Obviously, that didn't happen.  This card I made last summer for a co-worker who moved out of the area.  I blended different colors of Distress Oxides over a butterfly stencil to get beautiful ombres and transitions.  Enamel dots were randomly placed to fill in the white space.

Recipe:
Stamps:  Wild About Flowers - SU
Paper: White, Poppy Parade, Wild Wasabi
Ink: Distress Oxide, Licorice Hybrid - MFT
Accessories:  Butterfly Stencil, Enamel Dots

Triangle Fun Fold Christmas Card

Happy New Year 2020!  I found some time to create a card for a couple of challenges on Facebook; a weekly Christmas card challenge, and a technique challenge.  This is my first time trying the triangle fun fold and it was quite easy. I embossed the main image with gold embossing powder and added a few rhinestones for accent.

Recipe
Stamps: Peaceful Pines - SU
Paper: White, Baja Breeze, DP - DCWV
Ink: Versamark, Baja Breeze, Distress Antique Linen
Accessories: Gold EP, Rhinestones, Wink of Stella, Brother Scan N Cut
