Citrus Butterfly Ombre

I was playing around with Jennifer McGuire's ombre technique again.  This time I did it with 2 tones in citrusy colors.  I didn't like how it looked when the tones came together so I took the opportunity to use some ribbon in my stash.  I added a die cut butterfly in a color that matches the butterfly in the ribbon.  I left the sentiment off so I can tailor this card to whatever occasion arises.

Ombre Many Thanks

I made this card using a technique by Jennifer McGuire. She has a video demonstrating her easy ombre background.  Even though the technique is very easy it gives beautiful results.

I stamped a Judykins background stamp with Versamark then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  Next I used an ink blending tool to add Gina K Design's Christmas Pine dye ink.  I don't have the stencil brushes that Jennifer uses so I instead I used a foam brush to get the ombre effect.  The sentiment is a MFT die cut.  It is hard to tell in the photo that I added some sparkle to the die cuts using Wink of Stella.

Your Kindness Shows

.

A very good friend of mine, and member of my Waterlilyz Table gave me a couple of stamps recently.  She is a very kind and giving lady, and a spiritual mentor to many.  I made this card card for her using one of the stamps she gave me.

The stamp is a large background stamp by Judi Kins called Acorns and the sentiment is from Lotus Blossom by SU.  I meant to use a grey marker to color the tops of the acorns but I grabbed black by mistake.  It was until I colored about 5 of the acorns that I realized my error.  Close up the acorns look better than in the picture.  It is hard to see, but I sprayed a little Glimmer Mist on the background image to add some sparkle.

Stamps:  Acorns - Judy Kins, Lotus Blossom - SU
Paper:  WW, Crumbcake
Ink;  Strawberry Slush, Green Galore
